ET-Mod: Axis Attack / Allies Defend

Dieser Mod tauscht die Teams in ET aus. Nun müssen die Achsenmächte Angreifen und die Alliierten verteidigen. Getauscht wurden unter anderem auch die Waffen, der Voicechat, die Durchsagen des Hauptquartiers und bei den Standard-Maps die Beschreibung/Objectives um sie an das jeweilige Team anzupassen.
Wo es möglich war wurden nur die Scripte geändert um die Filegröße unter einem MB zu halten.
Der Mod dürfte zu den meisten gut gemachten Skin-/Soundpacks kompatibel sein, sofern sie nicht ein Script beinhalten das von diesem Mod benutzt wird.

Problem mit ETFortress 1.4

Gestern erschienen, und schon ist ein kleiner Bug aufgetaucht. Wenn auf ETF-Server der Version 1.4 gegangen wird, wird versucht die Datei pak2.pk3 herunterzuladen. Das Problem läßt sich für's erste lösen wenn der Automatische Download in den Einstellungen deaktiviert wird.

We have encountered a problem when joining 1.4 servers and the pak2.pk3 trying to be downloaded. To counter this problem you can turn auto download off in the settings for now.

We are looking into why this is happening and will post more information soon.

ET-Map: Return 2 Goldrush (Beta 1)

Statement von freak zu dieser Goldrush-Variante: "Several people have made attempts to modify the Goldrush map to better its competitive play. So far I think all have failed. I think the big part of the problem is the length in play and easily defendable bank area. Moving the allied spawn (while seeming to work) has made this map a nightmare to defend as the axis are simply over run. I thought alot about this and decided to try something different. There are very few Doc run maps for ET.
First let me say this... I did not modify Goldrush using the same areas as everyone else. Thus the reason the name is Return2Goldrush. I have closed of a large portion of the map. There is no longer a tank, or truck or even Goldcrates. I have build an entirely new area onto the map utilizing more of the lower courtyard. I have moved the axis spawn to the opposite side of the courtyard, and added several rooms within the buildings to the west of the bank courtyard. I have also added a capturable flag room located south of the ladder room. The bank will still hold the main objective (Documents) that have to be taken to the transmitter room (new room located north of the old tank courtyard). I have added a few new paths (mainly opened doors that were closed off). The design of this map is geared towards fast play. Cap times that could easily be within 5-8 minutes."

Empty ET-Key & PunkBuster

PunkBuster hat reagiert und ihre letzte verbuggte Version durch eine neue ersetzt.
Man sollte sich vor dem Connecten auf einen Server PBweb herunterladen, in den pb-Ordner kopieren und dort Ausführen um ein störungsfreies Spiel zu gewährleisten.

Version 1.185 of the PB Client for ET has been released to our PB Master Servers for auto-update and to our website download page. This version corrects a bug in v1.184 released earlier today that was causing PB to delete the etkey file and in some cases erroneously kick players for having an empty cdkey.


Seit heute taucht verstärkt ein ETKey Problem auf.

Fehlermeldung:
ETKey Empty (kicked via Punkbuster)
--> oder in der Konsole steht geschrieben, dass die ETKey-Datei gelöscht wurde.

Lösung von [DS]-=Pencil=- (Erfahrungsgemäß):
1. ET über die normale ET.exe starten (wichtig)
2. /pb_cdkeyreg eingeben und warten bis "Registration Succesful" in der Konsole steht.
3. ET schließen und im ETMain die Etkey-Datei auf Schreibschutz stellen.

Falls das nicht klappt:
1. ET über die normale ET.exe starten (wichtig)
2. ET Spiel selber hosten und Punkbuster aktivieren.
3. Konsole starten und den Befehl /pb_cdkeyreg nutzen und auf die Registrierung warten (kann auch 1 Minute und länger dauern)
4. ET schließen und im ETMain die Etkey-Datei auf Schreibschutz stellen.

ET-Mod: Noobmod Beta 3 ist erschienen

Soeben habe ich die Beta 3 von meinem Noobmod freigegeben.

Neu in der Beta 3:

  • g_kickLooseXP zum zurücksetzen der XP gekickter Spieler wenn XP Save an ist.
  • g_defaultKickTime zum einstellen der standard Dauer von Kicks.
  • g_nerveMedics um Rambo Medics etwas Einhalt zu gebieten.
  • g_mapScripts für die Unterstützung von ETPro Mapscripts (Code stammt von ETPub).
  • Das class Kommando, für den Klassenwechsel.
  • Automatische Configs beim Map-, Team- oder Klassenwechsel.
Bugfixes in der Beta 3:
  • Vote/Ref-Kicks funktionieren wieder.
  • g_uniProtect bestraft nicht mehr Grundlos.
  • Das forcecvar System wurde nochmal komplett überarbeitet und sollte jetzt sauber funktionieren.
  • Und viele kleinere Bugfixes.

Der Mod läuft auf unserem Transmitter Server unter: 81.169.131.211:27970
sowie auf dem |FaL|*GermanBootCamp Server unter: 217.79.180.22:27960

Bitte beachtet, es handelt sich um eine Beta. Bugs sind also keineswegs ausgeschlossen.

ET-Bot: BoBot 1.0.3c (German)

Die neue Version des BoBots beinhaltet einen kleinen Bugfix der sich im Eifer der Erstellung eingeschlichen hatte und erst vor einigen Tagen entdeckt wurde.
Gefixt wurde eine falsche Verknüpfung im Menü ''Host Server'', dort hat der Button ''Erweitert'' den Anwender wieder ins Hauptmenü zurückbefördert.

ET-Bot: AIMod-Mini (Beta 0.7)

AIMod is a mod for Return to Castle Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory designed to add complete bot support for players to practice and for administrators to make sure there is always something to do on their server.
Currently the bot support is well on the way to completion. Engineers are fully functional, Field Ops will give ammo, Medics will revive and heal players, and snipers will snipe. Covert Ops will also use satchel charges.
Please don't expect too much documentation as yet as this mod is still in very early beta test stages. -Unique1

John Carmack, der zweite Chef von ID-Software hat sich in einem Interview zu ET:QW geäußert und ließ dabei verlauten, daß das Spiel nichts mit ''Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory'' zu tun hat. Es wird also keine Fortsetzung von ET sein.

Zitat aus der E-Mail:

It has nothing to do with Wolf. The "Enemy Territory" name is due to Splash Damage's multiplayer design skills being the drive behind the game. There could be other ET games in the future in different settings.
