= RtCW .BSP to .MAP Converter =

A very handy map-making tool for Return to Castle Wolfenstein mappers, either new or experienced. The "comdlg32.ocx" file is also included in the download, with instructions on how to install it.

= Usage Information =

# Run DeBSP.EXE and [Browse] for the BSP file you wish to decompile, (It can decompile any quake engine map except SOF maps). Once you have picked the file you wish to decompile press the [Decompile] button and a MAP file will be created in the same folder as the BSP and with the same name.

# Please do not use this tool to rip other people's maps off. Just use it to gain more knowledge about map making. Always give credit to original map-makers.

^Doesn't seem to require .NET; Well, checked the file TXT, it's for 2001 ^^'

Thanks for your advice, Mateos. I'll look into updating my .NET Framework for my OS, do you have a download link for Decompilateur?

... Try to use a different Q3Map2, still it's strange that the one with 1.6 doesn't work, the code hasn't been changed in ages :/ Not a lot of people have the knowledge to edit this kind of software

Well, I have several Radiant versions installed, and for decompiling as I said I use Decompilateur and never had issues (I just think you have to make sure some .NET Framework package is installed).

....but there's no .MAP file at the end of it. Rather strange, I may have to uninstall GTK Radiant.

I'm using the x86 version, Mateos. To try and combat what's happened, since I installed GTK Radiant, I tried to use this method: http://forum-thetent.getgoo.net/t5-...-bsp-to-map-and-q3map2-exe-commands

I go through the whole process, but t

Maybe (can't edit comments >.>); RtCW is well supported so should work :/

Use the x86 version of Q3Map2, not the x64

This worked well for me, then I installed GTK Radiant 1.6 and after that I get this error message: unknown BSP format IBSP, version 47.

OCX file... Looks like adapted from old software like Q3Map2 Tools... Decompilateur does this too, for RtCW/ET/ETQW :)
